" Skin and bones " Design is skin, the skeleton is art. Design is volume and the structure is art. L'art est un moyen d'expression majeur de l'homme. Il est de ce fait un facteur de comunication intemporel. Art is a major form of expression for man. It is a timeless element of communication. L'art est la quete de l'absolu. Art is the quest for the absolute. |

Guy was born in the South of France (near Avignon) in 1945. He began working with metal as a sheetmetal worker and boilermaker, then went into psychiatric nursing. During the time he lived in Australia 1987-1991, (Newcastle) he started designing and creating iron furniture. Since his retirement from psychiatric nursing he moved to New Zealand in 2001 and continues with his creations. His pieces include leather, copper, rope or wood with iron and are 1 off or limited series. His work has been exhibited in France, Italy, Australia and New Zealand and sells world wide. |
